From May 4, e-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart will also be able to deliver non-essential products.  However, this facility will be available only for Green and Orange zones.

The central government has extended the lockdown for another 2 weeks.  The third phase will start from May 4 to May 17.  The good thing about this lockdown is that e-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart will also be able to deliver non-essential products.  However, the condition is that this facility will be for Green and Orange zones only.  There will still be a ban on delivery of non-essential products for Red zone.

What are red, green and orange zones

Actually, the government has divided all the districts of the country into red, orange and green zones on the basis of corona virus infection.  These districts have been kept in the red zone where corona virus infection is spreading rapidly and new patients are coming out.  Where there has been no fresh corona infection for more than 14 days, they fall into the Orange Zone.  Districts have been placed in the Green Zone where no cases of infection have been reported in the last 21 days.

Will be able to buy smartphones, laptops

According to the decision, now people living in the Green and Orange zones will be able to order smartphones, laptops and other electronic gadgets from May 4.  Paytm Mall Senior Vice President Srinivas Mothe said customers were eagerly waiting to buy products such as ACs, fridges and even summer clothes.  People are also eager to buy laptops, mobile phones, computer hardware and stationery for work from home and for studies.  This step will bring great relief to the people.
