Demand for video conferencing and remote working applications increased rapidly during the difficult times of corona virus infection and lockdown.  This is the reason that apps like Zoom and Google Meets have become increasingly popular and their usage has increased manifold.  Realizing the need of users in the telecom operator, JioMeet service is launched across the country.  This HD video conferencing tool has also been introduced for mobiles and tablets.

JioMeet was recently launched on the Google Play store and has so far received over 100,000 downloads.  Reliance has called this service as a 'Nationwide Video Platform' in its latest statement.  JioMeet supports five users on the free plan and with the help of its business plan, up to 100 users can be part of a call.  Also, Jio can offer hosts of emails and OTP-based log-in meetings on this service.

Many powerful features are available

On Jio's video conferencing service, guests can be invited with the help of a simple conference link.  Users can join meetings with the help of Chrome browser.  During the conference, users can also send live chat messages.  Users can answer calls in audio or video mode.  Can also be toggled in audio or video mode during a call.  Also, the call host gets many options, with the help of which he can control the audio and video feeds of the participants.

Adoptive streaming option

Users can watch the conference history on this service for both audio or video feeds.  Reliance Jio says that all meetings held on this platform are pin protected.  It has been said by the company that even though it is in the low network zone, the call does not get dropped and the call is automatically downgraded when it is in the low network.  Let me tell you, for this, corporate plans are being offered by Jio, after which 100 people can be connected and there is also the option of adaptive streaming.
